Job listings are time-sensitive: a posting that takes two weeks to appear in Google has lost half its life. With Google indexing enabled, easyboard notifies Google's Indexing API whenever a job is published, edited, or removed, so it shows up in (and drops out of) Google Jobs faster than waiting for a crawl. Removals matter too: promptly de-indexing filled jobs keeps expired listings out of search results.
This feature is available on the Advanced and Enterprise plans. Without it (or before setup), your jobs are still discoverable the normal way, through your sitemap and the automatic Google Jobs markup on every job page.
Find the Google indexing tab
At the bottom of the sidebar, click Settings.
Open the SEO card.
Click the Google indexing tab.
The Status card at the top tells you where you stand: an Active badge means submissions are flowing; Not enabled means setup is still needed. What setup means depends on your board's domain, below.
Boards on an easyboard subdomain: nothing to configure
If your board runs on its included subdomain (like acme-jobs on the board domain), easyboard indexes it with the platform's own Google integration. When it's active, the Status card reads "Your board is on an Easyboard subdomain, so we index it automatically with our Google integration. Nothing to set up." If the card instead says indexing "hasn't been enabled yet", contact support to turn on direct indexing; your jobs remain discoverable via your sitemap in the meantime.
Boards on a custom domain: connect your Google account
Google only accepts index requests for a domain from an account that owns that domain's Search Console property, so custom-domain boards connect their own Google account once:
Make sure your board is actually live on the custom domain first (see Connect a custom domain). Verification checks your live site.
On the Google indexing tab, find the Google Search Console card and click Connect Google Search Console.
Sign in with Google and approve the requested access. You are returned to this tab.
easyboard then registers your domain as a Search Console property, verifies ownership (no DNS records needed, since your board serves the verification automatically), and submits your sitemap, all in one go.
When everything works you'll see a green Connected & verified panel showing which Google account is connected and that "indexing is live" for your domain. If verification couldn't complete, the card shows Connected: one step left instead, usually because the board isn't reachable on the domain yet; fix the domain, then click Verify domain to retry. A Disconnect button next to either state removes the connection at any time.
Re-index everything at once
Publishing and editing jobs submits them automatically from then on. To also submit the jobs you published before enabling indexing:
On the Status card, click Re-index all published jobs (it is only clickable once indexing is active).
You should see a confirmation like "Queued 12 jobs for indexing."
Note Google's default quota of 200 Indexing API requests per day per project. On a subdomain board easyboard manages that quota for you; on a custom domain the quota belongs to your Google account, and if you post at very high volume you can request an increase from Google.
Read the activity log
The Recent activity card lists every submission with four columns: When, the URL submitted, the Action (an update for publishes and edits, a removal for unpublished or deleted jobs), and the Result. Before anything has been submitted it reads "No submissions yet. Publishing or editing a job will show up here." If results show errors, the message from Google is included; quota exhaustion and a not-yet-verified domain are the two usual causes.
Troubleshooting
The connect card says "Google connection isn't enabled yet": the platform-side Google integration isn't switched on for your environment. Your jobs are still discoverable via your sitemap; contact support to turn on direct indexing.
"Connected: one step left" won't clear: verification requires your board to actually respond on the custom domain. Check the domain's status under Settings and finish the DNS setup, then click Verify domain again.
Errors in the activity log: the most common causes are hitting the 200-requests-per-day quota (submissions resume the next day) and a domain that lost its verification (reconnect or re-verify from this tab).
What indexing is not
It does not guarantee ranking; it accelerates discovery. Ranking still depends on your content: job quality, page metadata and landing pages.
It is separate from analytics. To see the traffic side (impressions and clicks), head to the Search performance tab, which lights up using this same Google connection.
