Out of the box, your board's main pages use titles and descriptions derived from your board name. That works, but it doesn't target the searches you actually want to rank for. The Custom content tab lets you override the title tag, meta description, on-page heading and intro copy for each of your board's main pages. Leave any field blank to keep the default.
Open the Custom content tab
At the bottom of the sidebar, click Settings.
Open the SEO card.
Click the Custom content tab.
You'll see one card per configurable page, each showing the page's path in small type:
Home page (
/): your board's landing page.Blog index (
/blog): the blog listing page.Pricing page (
/pricing): the public pricing page.
The four fields on each card
SEO title: the page's
<title>tag, shown as the headline in search results and in the browser tab. Left blank, the board name is used. A good pattern is your main keyword plus your brand, like "Remote design jobs | Acme Board".Meta description: a one- or two-sentence summary shown under the title in search results. It doesn't affect ranking directly, but it decides whether people click. Left blank, search engines write their own snippet.
Page heading (H1): an optional on-page headline that replaces the default heading for that page. Use it when you want the visible headline to carry a keyword the default doesn't.
Intro content: rich text shown on the page itself, under the heading. This is real, crawlable copy; a short paragraph explaining what the page offers (and naturally including your keywords) gives search engines context that a bare list of jobs or posts doesn't. Links, bold and lists are supported; images and video are not, by design.
Practical length guidance
SEO title: roughly 50 to 60 characters. Longer titles get cut off with an ellipsis in results. Put the important words first.
Meta description: roughly 150 to 160 characters. Write it like ad copy: what the visitor gets, why this board.
Intro content: one to three short paragraphs is plenty. Write for the visitor first; keyword-stuffed intros read badly and rank worse.
A worked example
Say your board is "Acme Jobs" and your niche is remote design roles. A strong Home page card could look like this:
SEO title: Remote design jobs | Acme Jobs
Meta description: Hand-picked remote roles for product, brand and UX designers. New jobs added daily; apply in minutes, no account required.
Page heading (H1): Find your next remote design job
Intro content: a two-sentence paragraph naming the design specialties you cover and how often new roles land.
Compare that with the default (just the board name): the override targets a real search phrase, promises something specific, and gives Google on-page text to match against.
Save and verify
Fill in the fields on a card, for example Home page.
Click Save changes at the bottom of that card (each card saves independently; an "Unsaved changes" bar also appears at the top while anything is edited).
You should see a confirmation like "Home page SEO saved".
Click View public board in the dashboard's top bar and check the result: the browser tab shows your new title, and your intro copy appears on the page.
Search engines pick up the new metadata the next time they crawl the page. If you use Google indexing, your board's pages are already being submitted, so this usually happens within days, not weeks.
What this tab does not cover
Individual jobs: job pages generate their titles and structured data from the job itself; write a clear job title and description in the job form. See Post and manage jobs.
Individual blog posts: each post has its own SEO Title and SEO Description fields in the post form. See Write blog posts on your board.
Search landing pages: each search page carries its own meta title, description and intro. See SEO landing pages.
Custom pages: pages you build in the visual builder are managed under Design. See Custom pages.
Tip: clearing a field and saving reverts that page to its default. You are never locked into an override.
