Jobs are the heart of your board. This article walks you through posting a job field by field, then shows you how to manage listings from the Jobs list: change statuses, duplicate, filter, and clean up in bulk.
Open the Jobs list
In the sidebar, open Recruiting and click Jobs.
You land on the Jobs list. Each row shows the job title and company, its Type, Location, Posted date, and a colored Status badge.
A fresh board comes seeded with a few example jobs marked with a yellow Sample badge so the board never looks empty on day one. Editing a sample job makes it yours and removes the badge; you can also wipe all samples at once, see Remove sample data.
Post a new job
In the sidebar, open Recruiting and click Jobs.
Click the Add job button in the top right.
Fill in the form (every field is explained below), then click Add job at the bottom.
On success you see a "Job saved" confirmation and land on the job's edit page, so a second save updates the same job instead of creating a duplicate. Whenever the form has unsaved edits, an Unsaved changes bar appears at the top of the page with Discard and Save buttons.
The job form, field by field
Status
A segmented control with four states. The line under it explains the selected one:
Draft: saved privately, not visible on your board yet.
Published: live on your board and visible to job seekers. This is the default.
Archived: closed and hidden from your board.
Filled: the role was filled; hidden from your board.
Tip: publishing is what triggers distribution. The moment a job goes from any other status to Published, easyboard emails matching job alert subscribers, fires the job.published webhook, and asks Google to index the job page. Save as Draft while you polish the text.
Employer (required)
The company this role is posted under. It is a searchable picker: click it and start typing to search your employers by name (results load from the server as you type, so it works with thousands of companies). If the company does not exist yet, use the Add a new employer link under the field, or see Manage employers. The employer's name is shown on the public listing.
Job Title (required)
The headline of the listing, for example "Head Chef". Keep it plain and searchable; the job's public URL is derived from it automatically.
Job Description
A rich-text editor with headings, lists, bold, italics, links and alignment. If you have HTML from elsewhere, flip the Edit raw HTML switch under the editor to paste it directly. Left empty, the public page simply shows no description, so it is worth filling: describe the role, responsibilities and requirements.
Job Type and Category
Two dropdowns that classify the job. Job Type (Full-time, Part-time, and so on) also drives the employment type sent to Google Jobs; Category groups the job for browsing on your board. Both default to none ("Not specified" and "No category"), which is allowed but leaves the job out of category filters. Manage the options themselves under Job types and categories.
Location and Work location
Location is free text like "San Diego, CA". It powers location search on the board and is geocoded automatically so radius search works. Work location is a three-way choice: On-site, Hybrid or Remote. Choosing Hybrid or Remote reveals an optional Remote location field for restrictions like "US only" or "EU timezones".
Tags
Click Select tags to label the job with any of your board's tags (up to 30 per job). Tags cut across categories: seniority, stack, perks. See Job tags.
Additional details (only if configured)
If you have defined custom job fields or taxonomies, they appear here as extra inputs and are shown on the public listing when filled. See Custom fields and taxonomies.
Compensation
Minimum and Maximum are plain numbers (for example 90000 and 130000). Both are optional; if you fill both, Maximum must be greater than or equal to Minimum or the form flags it. Currency offers the currencies you allow on your board (configured under Settings, General, in the "Currencies & formatting" card). Period is one of Per hour, Per day, Per week, Per month, Per year (default Per year). Leave the numbers empty to publish without salary info.
How applicants apply
A two-way choice:
External URL: applicants are sent to the address you enter (for example the company's own careers page). The URL must start with http or https.
Form on your board: applicants apply right on your board with a cover letter and the CV from their profile, and each application lands in Applications in your dashboard. See Manage applications.
Posting Date and Expires in (days)
Posting Date (required) defaults to today; it is the date shown on the board and the anchor for expiry. Expires in (days) defaults to 30; when the window passes, the job disappears from the board and its status flips to Expired automatically (an hourly sweep also tells Google to drop the URL). Set it to 0 to never expire.
Featured, Pinned, Premium
Featured highlights the job at the top of your board and in listings.
Pinned to top keeps it above the rest regardless of date.
Premium (gated) listing gates this listing behind login or membership when your job-seeker access settings require it, even if other jobs are open.
Featured and Pinned are paid-tier capabilities; on plans without them the switches are locked and an upgrade note is shown.
Manage jobs from the list
Back on the Jobs list you can work without opening the form:
Search jobs by title or company in the search box.
The funnel icon filters by status (Draft, Published, Pending review, Expired, Archived, Filled), Remote vs On-site, Featured, and created or updated date ranges. Active filters show as removable pills.
The sort icon sorts by Title, Posted, Created or Last update, ascending or descending.
Each row has quick actions: View live (opens the public page; published jobs only), Edit, Mark as filled (or Reopen (publish) on a filled job), Duplicate and Delete.
Duplicate creates a copy titled "(Copy)", always as a Draft so it never goes live unreviewed, with today's posting date and the same expiry window, and opens it for editing. Handy for recurring roles.
To act on many jobs at once, tick the checkboxes at the left of the rows. A bar appears above the table with Publish, Mark filled, Archive and Delete; delete asks for confirmation. After each bulk action a toast confirms how many jobs changed.
Statuses you cannot set by hand
Pending review: the job came from an employer or an import while your approval policy requires review. It waits in Moderation.
Expired: the expiry window passed. Reopen a job by editing it and setting a fresh posting date or a longer expiry, or use Reopen (publish) from the list.
What happens when you publish, unpublish or delete
Publish: instant job alert emails go out, webhooks fire, Google indexing is requested.
Unpublish (archive, fill, expire) or delete: easyboard asks Google to drop the URL so stale postings do not linger in search results.
Edit: the public URL stays stable, so links you have shared keep working even if you change the title.
