The visual builder is where you compose your board's pages. A page is an ordered stack of sections; you add, reorder, restyle and remove them against a live preview of the real page. Everything you do in the builder edits a draft: your public board keeps showing the live version until you click Publish.
Open the builder
In the sidebar, open Design and click Page builder.
The builder opens on your Home page. The left rail lists the page's sections; the right side shows a live preview. The toolbar reminds you: "Editing a draft. Publish to update your live board."
Switch between pages
Click the page name at the top left (initially Home page) to open the page switcher. You can edit:
Home page: your board's front page.
Five structural pages: Job detail, Blog, Blog post, Pricing and 404. Each contains one structural section that carries the page's core function (the job itself, the article grid, and so on). You can surround it with other sections and configure it, but you cannot delete or duplicate it.
Any custom pages you have created. Manage pages... at the bottom of the menu jumps to the Pages screen.
A tip on defaults: a page you have never edited in the builder renders your theme's built-in layout. The moment you change it, your own stack takes over for that page.
Add, reorder and manage sections
In the left rail, click + Add. A menu lists every section type your theme can draw, each with a one-line description, and below a divider, your Saved blocks.
Click a type to append it to the page. You will see a toast such as "Hero added" and the preview reloads.
Drag a section by its grip handle (the six dots on its left edge) to reorder the page. The preview follows.
Each section row also has quick actions: the eye icon hides or shows the section without deleting it (hidden sections stay in the list, dimmed), the bookmark icon saves it as a reusable block, the copy icon duplicates it, and the trash icon removes it.
The catalog covers around two dozen types (the exact set and naming belong to your theme). Highlights, with their layout variants: Hero (headline, search bar, filter chips, optional CTA buttons and stats strip), Job list (List or Grid), Categories (Grid or Chips), Call to action, Rich text, FAQ, Testimonials (Cards or Spotlight), Feature cards (Cards, Numbered steps or Plain), Stats, Video, Embed / widget, Contact form, Featured employers (Grid, Logo row or List), Trusted by, Popular searches, Job alerts signup (Card, Banner or Inline), Blog posts, Image, Gallery (Grid or Masonry), Image & text, Spacer, Ad slot, Jobs map and Custom HTML.
Edit a section's settings and style
Click a section's name in the rail. The rail becomes that section's settings panel.
If the type has layout variants, a Layout toggle sits at the top (for example List or Grid for the Job list).
Below it are the section's content fields, generated from the section's schema: headings, toggles, links, repeatable items and so on. Most text fields fall back to a sensible default when left blank; the field's helper text tells you what.
The Style block at the bottom is the same for every section: Background (None, Muted, Gradient, Brand or Image, with gradient presets such as Ocean and Sunrise or fully custom stops and direction), an optional Texture (Noise, Dot grid, Grid, Topographic), background image with Overlay color and Overlay opacity to keep text legible over photos, Minimum height (Auto, Tall, Full screen), Vertical spacing, Column (Full width, Main column or Sidebar, for side-by-side layouts), Content width, Text alignment, Side padding, Outer spacing, top and bottom borders, and Corner radius.
Click Save at the bottom of the panel (you will see "Section saved"), or Cancel to revert your edits. The back arrow returns you to the section list.
Preview on different devices
The toolbar's device toggle switches the preview frame between Desktop, Tablet (768px) and Mobile (390px) widths. The preview is the real page rendered by the same engine as your public board, so it cannot drift from reality. On a small screen the builder shows one pane at a time; use the Edit / Preview toggle to flip between the section rail and the preview.
Undo, redo and reusable blocks
The Undo and Redo arrows in the toolbar step backward and forward through your edits on the current page, covering adds, deletes, reorders and setting changes made this session.
To reuse a section you have polished (say, a testimonials band) on other pages:
Click the bookmark icon on the section's row.
In the Save as a reusable block dialog, give it a name and click Save block. Its content and style are saved.
On any page, open + Add and pick it from Saved blocks. An independent copy is inserted; editing the copy does not change the saved block. The small trash icon next to a saved block deletes the template.
Publish or discard your draft
Two toolbar buttons close the loop:
Publish copies your draft over the live page. A snapshot of the previous live state is saved to version history first, so publishing is undoable from Design, Themes, Version history (see Choose and customize your theme). You will see a toast such as "Home page is live".
Discard throws away the draft and re-seeds it from the live page ("Draft reset to your live page"). Use it when an experiment went wrong; the live board was never affected.
Until you publish, visitors keep seeing the live version, so you can leave a half-finished draft and come back later.
