An empty board attracts nobody. Import sources fill and refresh your board automatically: point one at a jobs feed or a careers page, and easyboard imports new jobs on a schedule, updates changed ones in place, and expires the ones that disappear from the source.
Open Import sources
In the sidebar, open Distribution and click Import sources.
The page has two tabs: Import sources (this article) and Rules (the auto-tagger, covered in The auto-tagger and tagging rules).
Add a source from a URL
Click Add source.
Paste the address in Feed URL and click Load feed. easyboard accepts RSS, XML, JSON and CSV feeds (gzipped too), or any careers page that carries Google Jobs structured data; most ATS career sites do.
easyboard fetches the URL, detects the format, counts the items, and opens a pre-filled configuration form. For a careers page it reports how many jobs a sample crawl found instead.
Review the form (details below) and click Create source.
You get an "Import source created" toast and land on the source's edit page. Depending on what is enabled on your board, the Add source screen may also offer two more entry modes: Describe your board (describe your niche in plain words and AI drafts keyword filters and suggests real, live-validated sources to pick from) and Partner feed (backfill from a partner database of jobs from company career sites and job boards, filtered by title, keywords, location, recency and work arrangement, with a Preview matches button that shows the current match count before you commit).
The source form
Feed
Name: a label for your own reference, for example "We Work Remotely".
Feed URL with a Reload feed button that re-detects fields after changes.
Import frequency: Every hour, Once a day, or Once a week.
Max active imported jobs: caps how many live jobs this source may hold; leave empty for unlimited.
Next run time (optional): holds scheduled imports until a date and time you pick.
Active: paused sources keep their jobs but stop importing.
Field mapping (feeds only)
Maps each job attribute to a field detected in the feed, and shows a sample value under each pick so you can sanity-check. Job title, Apply link and Description are required; easyboard suggests all of them automatically, so usually you only adjust what looks off. Notable options: Unique ID can fall back to "Use the apply link" (the ID is what prevents duplicate imports and lets updates match existing jobs), Posting date can be "Date of the import", and the Remote flag offers "Remote when location is missing". Salary fields and tags are optional. Careers-page and partner sources have a fixed schema, so no mapping is shown.
Employer
From the feed: each job's company is matched to an existing employer by name, or a new employer is created automatically.
One employer: every imported job is posted under a single employer you pick (searchable picker). Good for importing one company's careers page.
Publishing & rules
Job type and Category defaults applied to every imported job (refine per-job with auto-tagger rules).
Fallback location, used when the feed has none.
Jobs expire after (days): empty means no expiry.
Only import jobs matching / Skip jobs matching: comma-separated keywords that keep the import on topic, with a switch to Match keywords in the title only.
Default to remote: used when the remote flag is not mapped or is empty.
Publish imported jobs immediately: off means imports land as drafts for your review. Note that if your Job approval policy covers imported jobs, they land in the Moderation queue instead of going straight live.
Mirror the feed: no date-based expiry; jobs stay live exactly while they are in the feed and come back if they reappear.
Expire jobs that leave the feed: a job removed from the feed is expired on the next import (always on while mirroring).
After the first import
Back on the Import sources list, each source shows its status and jobs. Use the Run import now action on a row to trigger an immediate run instead of waiting for the schedule. Imported jobs appear in Recruiting, Jobs like any other listing; you can edit them, and each import updates its own jobs in place using the unique ID, so nothing duplicates.
Keep an aggregated board organized
Pair every source with a few auto-tagger rules so incoming jobs get categorized, tagged and marked remote automatically, and consider the moderation queue if you want eyes on everything before it goes live. Employers for imported jobs are created automatically; you can polish their profiles under Manage employers.
